Open Enrollment

Families of students living outside the Crestview School District can apply for their child to attend Crestview as an open-enrollment student. An application must be completed for initial acceptance as an open-enrolled student. Reapplication is required annually. The period for initial and renewal applications runs from April 1 to June 15 for the following school year.

Applications are considered based on the availability of space in each grade level and/or program. Priority will be first given to current open-enrolled students and siblings of previously open-enrolled students. Preference to acceptance of new applicant acceptance is first come, first served, with priority based on the following criteria:

  • Child of a previous Crestview Graduate

  • Child of Crestview Employee

  • Child Living with a Non-Custodial Grandparent in CLSD

  • Former CLSD Student who has moved out of District

  • Previously Open-Enrolled Student at CLSD

  • Sibling of a currently enrolled Open Enrollment Student

  • Student of a family buying or building a home in the CLSD district

Current students who relocate outside the district during the school year may be considered for application at any point for the remainder of the school year.

Open Enrollments for the upcoming School Year 

Families who open enroll their children into the district must fill out a new form every year if they wish for their child to stay in the district. 

The Open Enrollment Application process for each new school year begins April 1 and runs through June 15. 

Incomplete applications, including those missing required documentation, may not be considered.

All applications will be reviewed and accepted at the discretion of the Superintendent.  All applicants, accepted or denied, will be notified by mail or email on or before July 1. 

Accepted applicants NEW to Crestview LSD will be instructed to schedule an appointment in our registration office located in the central office.  Any questions about the open enrollment process can be directed to the Superintendent's Office at 419-895-1700, ext. 17000 or 17002.
