Open Enrollment

Families of students living outside the Crestview School District can apply for their child to attend Crestview as an open-enrollment student. An application must be completed for initial acceptance as an open-enrolled student. Reapplication is required annually. The period for initial and renewal applications runs from April 1 to May 1 for the following school year.

Applications are considered based on the availability of space in each grade level and/or program. Priority will be first given to current open-enrolled students and siblings of previously open-enrolled students. Preference to acceptance of new applicant acceptance is first come, first served, with priority based on the following criteria:

  • Child of a previous Crestview Graduate

  • Child of Crestview Employee

  • Child Living with a Non-Custodial Grandparent in CLSD

  • Former CLSD Student who has moved out of District

  • Previously Open-Enrolled Student at CLSD

  • Sibling of a currently enrolled Open Enrollment Student

  • Student of a family buying or building a home in the CLSD district

Current students who relocate outside the district during the school year may be considered for application at any point for the remainder of the school year.

Full details on the district's Open-Enrollment policy can be view within Board Policy files JECBB and JECBB-R, Interdistrict Open Enrollment (Statewide Districts)
