Substitute Teaching
Crestview Local School District may employ an individual who does not hold a post-secondary degree as a substitute teacher, provided that the individual also meets the following requirements:
A. the individual meets the educational requirements for the employment for substitute teachers as follows:
The individual is a graduate of a high school or has a statement of high school equivalence in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Superintendent of Public Instruction; AND at least five years of successful work experience. The Superintendent or designee will verify the dates of employment and skills/duties by contacting the employer(s) cited on the application; OR
The individual possesses an associates degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education, or completes at least two years of coursework at an accredited institution of higher education (defined as forty-eight (48) semester hours or seventy-two (72) quarter hours).
B. the individual is deemed of good moral character;
C. the individual successfully completes a criminal background check as prescribed by R.C. 3319.39; and
D. the individual satisfies all other applicable requirements and procedures contained in the Revised Code and the Administrative Code with respect to that individual's qualifications to be a substitute teacher.
Interested individuals should complete a Crestview LSD Classified Application, and submit proof of high school diploma or statement of high school equivalence and transcripts of higher education coursework semester/quarter hours to the Crestview Local Board of Education office. Substitute Support Staff
Seeking qualified applicants. To apply for substituting in a classified position, which includes: food service, custodial, library aide, playground aide, and secretarial contact Deb Bernhard in the Crestview Board of Education office at 419-895-1700, ext. 17000.
Requirements: Completed Classified Application, Resume', recent B.C.I./F.B.I. Criminal Background Report.

Substitute Bus Drivers
Substitute bus drivers are needed for daily routes, partial days (AM or PM), field trips, extracurricular, and sporting events. Qualified substitute drivers are strongly considered for full-time transportation positions as those vacancies occur.
Potential applicants should review the driver requirements. CDL training may be provided to qualified applicants. See list for explanation of costs to applicant. Previous certified experience preferred, but will consider those wishing to explore certification. Reimbursement for training expenses may be available upon completion.
