Crestview Local School District will once again offer preschool for the 2023-2024 school year!  The purpose of the preschool is to provide an enriched learning environment in an integrated setting to children who are between the ages of 3 and 5 by August 1.

Located at Crestview Elementary, classes are held Monday-Thursday and follow Crestview LSD calendar.  Half-day sessions are offered either in the morning or afternoon.  Current preschool enrollment includes up to 16 students in each session.

Because children learn best through play, preschool learning takes place in a play-based environment.  The preschool curriculum is based on the Early Learning Standards for Ohio so that students will be prepared for kindergarten standards.  Preschool activities include student-initiated and teacher-initiated activities that focus on the development of pre-academic, fine motor, gross motor, social/emotional, and language skills.  There is a weekly focus on letters, colors, shapes, and numbers.  The children have regular opportunities to practice drawing simple shapes, writing the letters of their names, and writing the letter of the week.

Speech, occupational, and physical therapy services are provided during preschool hours to qualifying students.

Families interested in enrolling their child in Crestview’s preschool should complete the Preschool Registration Form on the district’s website (FinalForms will be completed later in the process).  After completing the form, families will be contacted to schedule a screening appointment for their child.  If you have questions, please feel free to call 419.895.1700 Extension 17002.

Information regarding bussing and tuition will be provided at the screening.

Tuition is charged on a sliding fee schedule.

All students must provide evidence of a physical signed by a medical professional no later than 30 days after the first day of school.
